On September 16, 2023 the CirclesUBI Denpasar community of Banjar Tegeh Sari welcomed some honorary visitors from Indonesia's leading body on research and innovation, BRIN (National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia). BRIN’s aim for the visit was to learn more about how CirclesUBI was working in local communities.
At the helm of BRIN's delegation was Mr. Nawawi, M.A., Ph.D., the very respected Head of BRIN’s Population Research Center. Alongside was Mr. Yanu Endar Prasetyo, a prominent Senior BRIN researcher, who is also behind the IndoBIG network. Shaunda Brown for the International HQ of the Circles Bali initiative, Coöperatie Circles Bali U.A. also joined the dynamic day.

The guests participated in the lively Semarak Bazaar in Denpasar, and held a deep conversation with local community representatives and leaders about their perspective on the benefits and impacts that Circles is having in the area. BRIN's enthusiastic response to the visit to Banjar Tegeh Sari certainly was a wonderful acknowledgment of Bali's commitment to innovation.
